So I finally sat down and defeated Liquid in his Hind D and also killed Sniper Wolf (although it took bloody ages! I didn't have any of that anti-anxiety stuff so my scope was shaking the whole damn time and Wolf would almost never come out from behind her tree! ARG!) So it took a couple tries but I made it onto the second disc and I was on the cargo elevator getting ambused by some jerks when I decided I shouldn't push my headache and maybe I should go do something else.
We have lots and lots of cake.
I think I will read more Artemis Fowl (it't totally awesome!) I stayed up past midnight last night decoding the text that runs along the bottom of the page. Colfer has this code (it's the Fairy language called Gnomish) on the bottom of all his books. And they give you neat messages if you're nerd enough to decode them. (I am nerd, here me roar).
I have this incredible urge to play the Bleach TCG but no one else in my house plays it D'oh to being the only one who plays more than Magic! When we went into Olympic Cards and Comics yesterday to pick up Amber's birthday presents they were having a YGO tournament and I didn't see and single other girl in there! WTF! I want to play YGO like that but I don't keep up with the tournement rules and boring shit like that. Also, boys are going to automatically assume that I'm bad at the game so it'll be ten times more frustrating to lose because they'll be thinking, "Heh, girls, they think they are as good as boys. Go home and play with your barbies."
And the things is... I'm NOT bad at the game! And I have a really solid deck that I think could kick some major ass...but I don't know! I've never played against someone who knows how to play the game! I've only played against people I've had to teach myself!
It's so depressing that there are so little female nerds. And I mean NERDS. Not girls who play nothing but casual games, or girls who just watch anime, or girls who just read manga. To those girls who do just those things and call themselves nerds, I give them the finger. While they are perhaps related to nerd. They are not actually a real nerd. It's frustrating.
I'm just lucky because I DO know girl nerds (Kami, you're nerdy, and so are you anna which is fabulous) and Sam (I guess some people who read this know her mostly as Pingu) is delightfully nerdful. I wouldn't really call LaCee a nerd though. She does some nerd stuff...but... I dunno, she doesn't come off as nerdy to me. Sao... you are the kind of nerd who could fulfill your true self if more nerdy oppertunites were presented to you (I picture you as the nerd that snorts obnoxiously when they laugh. LOL)
